Welcome
Hi, I am Surya Paruchuri and I am an engineer. This site is about me and my about projects, notes, views, articles and some other fun techincal stuff. As for my professional work,I am currently working as a Design Engineer designing UWB Modems. In recent past, I worked as Modem Engineer at Qualcomm. Simply put, I currently wrote code that made your phone access internet.
My professional and research interests evolved over time. But mostly my work revolves around:
- Signal Processing Systems - Sensing and Communications
- Computer Architecture - High Performance/throughput Systems (DSPs, GPUs etc)
On a side note I am also quite like the below areas, as I dig deeper into these:
- Applied Mathematics (Algorithms) & General Engineering
- Neuroscience, Cognitive Systems & Information representation (in humans and robotics)
- Computational Finance (at a personal level)

Moved to NXP USA Inc. as Senior System Design Engineer in May'22
Moved to Qualcomm Technologies Inc. as Modem Engineer in August'20
Promoted to Senior Engineer at Spirent Communications Inc starting January'20
Joined as Embedded Engineer at Spirent Communications Inc in May'18 (First full-time Job in USA !!)
Our Paper titled "Self-organizing Museum Visitor Communities: A Participatory Action Research
based Approach" is Accepted and Published at SMAP 2017, Slavakia.
Our Paper titled "Interest, Energy and Physical-Aware Coalitions Formation and
Resource Allocation in Smart IoT Applications" is Accepted and Published at CISS 2017, JHU, Baltimore.
